Life Under Pressure
Life under pressure is like an emotional prison from which there seems to be no escape. All you can see is the walls around you, you feel stuck, with nowhere to go, everything seems pointless, and you fall into chaos, sadness and powerlessness. I used to feel that way too. Until I discovered that the true source of the pressure was actually myself! This is because I was overly concerned about what expectations other people may have had of me, while at the same time I did not give myself the right to apply and enjoy my freedom. Pressure is not something on the outside that you cannot control.
The feeling of being under pressure is your emotional response to the signals you receive from other people. Unknowingly, you agree that the world will push you, demand, expect of you, and you burn yourself out while trying to meet those demands, forgetting how to know and understand your own needs and desires.
If you feel stuck and overwhelmed by people and things, do a simple thing: GET UP AND SHAKE IT OFF! Just get up, shake it off and remind yourself that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO ANYTHING!
It’s you who decides about your life. You have the right, the privilege and the duty to know your needs and desires and take care of your life in a way that will bring you true meaning, fulfillment and happiness.
You don’t have to do anything.
You can do everything.
You are free.
